 Vestibule of Philosophy

The philosophy is a reflection exercise on the realities of the life, like academic discipline to máter or sensible personal aspiration to the wisdom, that tries to include/understand with methodology, or without her how to genuinely arrive at enlightening explanations on the essence of all the diverse elements of the reality, being interested to especially arrive at definition from concepts and principles between the parts and the whole which they coexist in the universe, and by building of the human beings.

The word comes from the Greek, and is compound of φίλος (“edges”, that in Greek sifnifica “loving of” or “friend of”, usually are confused with love that in Greek would be “filia” or specialty “ειδικότητα”) and σοφία (“Thought”, Wisdom, knowledge, knowledge): φιλοσοφία (Loving of the Wisdom).

For the first philosophers of old Greece, the wisdom was a virtue, a search of the genuine knowledge, and an overcoming of the false opinions. The own exercise of the philosophy began taking importance like an intellectual and critical activity, oriented to reflect on the natural causes that would methodically explain the different phenomena that take place in the reality replacing myths, in a passage of the myth to the logo (the reasoning), of the hidden or supernatural explanations - frequently attributed to the whim of the Gods -, from the explanations rational, where the causes can be observed or be deduced logical, objectively, neutral and within the own reality. Bertrand Arthur William Russell (18 of May, 1872 - 2 of February, 1970), Third Count of Russell, Order of the Merit OM, Fellow of the Royal Society military group, Nobel prize de Literatura 1950. Bertrand Russell was one of the most distinguished philosophers and mathematicians of century XX. It wrote on a wide range of subjects, from the foundations of the mathematics and the theory of relativity to the marriage, the rights of women and the pacifism. The life of Russell was enthusiastic, intense and releases and a name in the circles of specialists like between the multitudes was forged as much that followed or it with fervor they hated or it with intensity.

In mathematics its major contribution is the doubtlessly important one Begins Mathematica with Alfred North Whitehead, book in three volumes where from certain basic slight knowledge of the logic and the Set theory the totality of the mathematics is deduced. Showing therefore the power of the formal languages, the possibility of modeling to the mathematics and the fertility of the logic. A deeply influential and important book that it contributed to the development of the logic, the set theory, the artificial intelligence and the computation as well as the formation of thinkers of the purchase block of David Hilbert, Ludwig Wittgenstein, Alan Turing, Willard Van Orman Quine and Kurt Gödel.
