The espiritualidad is, in its stricter sense, an interest by the subjects of the spirit, independent of how this one is defined. This interest can go from the mere personal taste to a vital necessity that it is pronounced in absolute a personal direction towards the spirit, with indifference or not towards the sensible subjects.

Also it is an ample term with many possible interpretations. It can include the belief in one or several supernatural powers, as in the case of the religions theists, but the emphasis of the word is in the personal experience. It also can be a used expression to talk about more to the aspect of the life that is perceived like highest, more complex and integrated with the vision of the world that is had. In that case the opposite would be sensuality (in the world broad sense of the senses, noneroticism)…
