Dinosauria (gr. δινοσαυρία, “terrible lizards”) is an superorder of vertebrate animal that dominated the ecosystems of mesozoic during about a 160 million years, reaching wide range and gigantic sizes. One of its distinguishable main features was that they owned the female ducks located below the body, like the mammals, and not towards the flanks, like most of the reptiles. During the past few years accumulated very forceful scientific evidences that are had small carnivorous dinosaurios gave rise to the birds during the Jurásico period. For that reason, at the moment, the birds are classified within Dinosauria.
