VESTIBULE DANCES

The word dances (or it dances) is used to describe to methods of nonverbal communication between humans or animal, the action of the inanimate objects (the leaves of the tree dance in the wind), and certain sorts or musical forms. The choreography is the art to create dance.

The definition than constitute the dance depends on social, cultural, esthetic-artistic limitations and morale and go from functional movement (like the folk dances) to codified techniques of virtuosity like the ballet. The sports, rythmical gymnastics, the artistic skid and synchronous swimming include disciplines of the dance, whereas the martial arts often are compared with dances.

The Basque Dances are a very important part of the
Basque culture and the fundamental one of their folklore. Each historical territory, or province, has his own ones. Each town has its dance that gets used to dancing in its celebrations majors. Some of them are very old losing their origin in the times, others are more or less modern recreations of old woman new dances and some are coreográfias with popular base.

The accomplishment of the dances, that try to recreate situations or events, and that are realized for the commemoration of celebrations and special acts make difficult the classification of the same since the parameters to realize these are multitude, each different student comes realizing a classification, for example Juan Antonio Urbeltz has followed morphologic and choreographic criteria in the creation of a system of classification of the Basque dances, whereas the Basque folclorista Jose Antonio Quijera has used formal and choreographic criteria, a proposal that, differs from the Juan Antonio Urbeltz, or the followed weather, among others, by Expensive Julio Baroja.

Selected biography

Courteous Joaquin, born Joaquin Pedraja Kings (
Cordova, 22 of February of 1969 -). Flamenco coreógrafo and dancer, born in a gypsy family.

As a child one goes away to Madrid, to the district of Lavapiés. It began his studies of dance in Madrid when it was twelve years old.

In 1984, with fifteen years they accept, it as member of the National Ballet of Spain and soon after it is ascended to dancing soloist. Courteous it traveled with this company by many cities of the world, dancing in important theaters like the Metropolitan Opera House of New York and the Palace of Congresses of the Kremlin of Moscow.

After leaving the Ballet National its ascending career begins dancing next to recognized personalities of the artistic world of the dance, eg: Mayan Plisetskaya, Silvie Guillen and Peter Schauffuss; also it dances in the Flamenco Festival of Summer in Tokyo, several finery in the Lincoln Center of New York and, in the ballet Don Quixote (choreography of Vicente Nebrada) with the company Ballet Teresa Carreño in Caracas, Venezuela. At this time also it created the Carmen choreography for the Sand of Verona.
