In 1096, the followers of king Sancho Ramirez de Aragón besieged the city of Alcoraz, near Huesca. After receiving aid from Saragossa, the besieged ones are able to kill the king, but they win the battle of Alcoraz, according to the tradition, thanks to the appearance of San Jorge.
