Vestibule of Human and Social Sciences

Human and social sciences, are those that study to the human being and their report with the company. Their speeches intercross and connect; for that reason a differentiation between these branches of the knowledge is expensive. All the disciplines that study the man do not demand the scientific character, within whom they are catalogued like sciences, even exist thinkers who do not guide their reflections with the scientific method.

Nevertheless, the positivismo considers a study of the framed human being in this method, as much in its individual aspect suitable and necessary as collective, and is basically this epistemologic current the one that demands and looks for that the studies on the man reach the reconaissance of sciences, even though several authors criticizes the fundamental aspects of this epistemologic current and prefers to move away of scientific name.

Plato

Plato (in Greek Πλάτων) (circa. 427 a. /428 Cs. a. Cs. - 347 a. C.) was a Greek philosopher, student of Sócrates and teacher of Aristotle, most noble family and the highest aristocracy. Its influence as author and sistematizador have been incalculable in all the history of the philosophy, of which one has said frequently that it reached identity like discipline thanks to his works. During his youth it fought like soldier in the wars of the Peloponnese which Athens left defeated, and the power and the economy that showed on the Greek world fell in the hands of Sparta. Between their more important works the Dialogs and the Republic are told (in Greek Πολιτεια, politeia, “it forms to steer city”), in which the political philosophy of an ideal state processes; the Fedro, in which it develops a complex and influential psychological theory; the Timeo, an influential analysis of rational cosmology influenced by the Pythagorean mathematics; and the Teeteto, the first study known on philosophy of science.

He was founding of the Academy of Athens, where it studied Aristotle. It participated actively in the education of the Academy and wrote on diverse philosophical subjects, especially those that dealed with the policy, ethics, metaphysics and epistemología. The most famous works of Plato were their dialogs. Although several epigramas and charts also have lasted.

The dialogs of Plato have great vitality and frequently they include humor and irony. By his expositivo method the most pleasant philosopher considers itself to Plato.

To he frequently mentions it to Sócrates in the dialogs. How much of the content and the arguments it is work of Sócrates or Plato, it is difficult to say, inasmuch as Sócrates did not leave written evidence of its lessons; this ambiguity is the one that is known like the “socrático problem”. There is no doubt, nevertheless, that Plato was influenced deeply by the lessons of Sócrates; in fact his first ideas and analyzes shine like adaptations of those of Sócrates.
