Biorremediación

The biorremediación is the trial in that biological institutions are used to solve environmental special problems, like the contamination. The biorremediación can be used to attack some specific polluting agents, like chlorinated pesticides that are degraded by bacteria, either, of general form the more as in the case of the oil spills, that they treat using several techniques, including the fertilizer addition to facilitate the decomposition of the crude one by the bacteria.

Unlike the biodegradación that takes place naturally, the biorremediación is a trial initiated by the man in order to correct environmental pollution generally.

It is not possible to deal with all the polluting agents by means of the use the biorremediación; for example, the heavy metals as the cadmium or the lead is not absorbed or caught easily by the institutions. The metal introduction as mercury in the food chain can make worse the things, because the institutions bioacumulan these metals.

Nevertheless, there is a range of advantages in the biorremediación, which can be used in areas to which it is not possible to be acceded easily if it is not by means of excavation. For example, the gasoline spills can contaminate the underground water. Introducing the precise institutions, in conjunction with training oxygen compounds, gasoline merger can be reduced significantly after a certain period of time. This is much less expensive that the followed excavation of the interment elsewhere or incineration, and reduces or eliminates the necessity of pumping and processing, that is the most perpendicular practice in sites in which the underground water is contaminated by gasoline.
