Latin America or Latin America is constituted by the range of countries of America that was former colonies of European powers and in which it is spoken Spanish, Portuguese and, in some French, tongues Romance, that is to say derived from the Latin. Its gentilicio is Latin American. In these countries many similarities due to their long common history in for being colonial territories of Spain and Portugal share mainly. Among them variations are also observed ethnic, social, political, economic and climatic lingüísticas.
At the moment the Latin America term implies a sense of supra greater nationality to the one of the state-nation, on which its definition is confined. This national sense supra comes together in different common initiatives that they tend to the formation of political body articulates that it, like the South American Community of Nations.
